Mount McDowell (Red Mountain) in Arizona

I try to remember to take my camera with me each time I ride my motorcycle, even if it’s just to go to the store, work, etc…  If I remember correctly, I got this tip reading an entry from chesshirecat who has a blog HERE.  I stopped and took this photo of Mount McDowell today.  It’s located on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Reservation, just north of Mesa, AZ.  Mount McDowel is often called “Red Mountain” due to its red color.  The colors become more distinctive during sunset.  The mountain is located on an Indian reservation that’s off limits.  This makes up close photos difficult to get unless you have a nice clear day with a good camera zoom.
