Route 99 is in California. I wanted Route 66 in AZ!

Here’s the story. I found on eBay a Route 66 patch to sew on my leather vest. I ordered it and it came with a little surprise. Another patch that was labeled as a FREE Gift. I thought this was a nice surprise to receive more than I expected with my order. Well without examining the patches to closely, I put one away to use another day, and gave my vest and new patch to my wife who gladly sewed it on for me. Two days later (after wearing the vest once to work) I noticed the patch had the 66’s upside down! What? Route 99? Neither of us noticed it wasn’t a Route 66 as I wanted. Fortunately the other patch I received is correct with a Route 66 on it. Maybe the saying is true, “if it sounds to good be be true…”

  1. Easy fix — wear your vest upside down.

  2. Your wife can sew leather? …. I’ll be over in a bit 🙂
