Yosemite National Park – Post 1 of 7

Over the next 7 posts I’ll be putting some of my Yosemite National Park photos here.  These first few photos are of my camp site after setting it up.  Time to look at the map and decide what to do next!

  1. Looks like a nice start to your trip. Beautiful shots of the water!

  2. Great trip, beautiful weather and fantastic scenery. Thanks for the nice comments. It’s always nice to know others are actually looking at my photos and posts. I hope you enjoy the photos.

    • I’ve enjoyed all the photos, but I do know what you mean.

I remember a while back that you had an ‘incident’ with you camera but don’t remember reading about a replacement….what did you use for this trip?

  3. I remember the day all to well when I was covered by the wave of water in California. I did replace it with a Canon EOS 5d Mark II. I didn’t take it on this trip though. My latest photos were all taken with my my small digital Sanyo camera. The model is “Xacti VPC-E2”. It’s small, takes great photos and videos, not very expensive, and fits in my pocket. Most of all, it’s waterproof! I highly recommend it. I try and keep with my motorcycle in case I want to stop and take a quick photo.

    • That’s a nice looking little camera and you’ve proven that it takes great shots!

I have the monster Nikon D7000 that I take on long trips but it’s packed in the saddle bags for stops. In my pocket I now have a Nikon Coolpix S30 which is waterproof as well. A big bulkier than my old pocket camera due to the waterproof casing but I still like it.
