Lifetime Member – Harley Owners Group H.O.G.

I renewed my Harley Owners Group membership this month and decided to convert it to a Life Membership.  It seemed like every couple of years the annual fee as well as the conversion fee for the life membership went up in price.  I probably should have done this several years ago and saved a few dollars.  Now I have another patch to sew on my vest!

Very cool man! I have paid for a year, then dropped it for a year and so on…….. Just haven’t really found any real benefit to being a member; perhaps I am missing something here. Please share what you get out of your HOG membership that made you keep it going and ultimately become a life member. BikerMonkey

  2. The reason I’ve continued my H.O.G. membership over the years (in no particular order) is:

    – The H.O.G. magazine
    – The annual touring handbook
    – The annual patch and pin
    – Membership in the H.O.G. milage program

The annual fee for 2012 is $45 and the reasons mentioned above are worth at least that much to me.

I haven’t had the need to try of any of the other things they offer like, insurance, motorcycle shipping, roadside assistance, etc…

I’ll probably own a Harley for the rest of my life (maybe a trike when I get to old to balance on 2 wheels) so I decided to take advantage of the Life Membership.

I guess the bottom line is I just like being a part of an organization that makes a product I thoroughly enjoy.
