First stop on my way to Moab, UT and Arches National Park,  Four Corners Monument.  I must admit the only reason I stopped here was just to be able to say “I’ve been there”.  It was a $3.00 fee for entry.  This also gave me the opportunity to ride North on Highway 160 and Highway 491 through Colorado along my way.  I can now cross Colorado off the list of states I’ve ridden in.  I hope to someday be able to say I’ve ridden in all 50.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERAI also passed Shiprock in NM on my way.  It was too far off the highway to get a good look at it.  It’s located 10.75 miles (17.30 km) southwest of the town of Shiprock, which is named for the peak.

  1. We were there 3 years ago. We did 4 corners, Monument Valley, Million Dollar Highway and Mesa Verde. It was a great ride. I love riding the western U.S.

    Thanks for the memories…

    Ride safe…

  2. One State at a time and you will get there.
