I didn’t take very many photos this year at the Laughlin River Run. I’ve been here several times over the years, and for some reason taking photos wasn’t high on my priority list this time.
Anyway, here’s a few I took with my cell phone.
Another ride to another lake. This time to Saguaro Lake, NE of Phoenix, AZ. While I was there a police helicopter made an approach and departure from the helipad. I’m guessing he was practicing his approach and departure maneuvers. He only stayed on the ground for a few seconds. I didn’t get many photos this trip, but here’s a few.
Saguaro Lake, AZ.
Helicopter approaching the helipad.
Departing the helipad.
Motorcycle parking at the lake.
Here in Arizona it’s not unusual to see a Horse, Car and Motorcycle in the same parking lot.
This was the first time I’ve stopped at The Hitching Post Pizza Pub in Apache Junction, AZ (Near the Superstition Mountains). A nice place with plenty of seating inside and outside on the raised deck patio. It seemed to be a popular place. You can’t tell by this photo, but there were more motorcycles in the parking lot than cars on this Saturday afternoon. I’m sure I’ll be back.
As a longtime motorcycle rider, this makes me Crazy! Parking your motorcycle in the middle of a automobile parking space! There’s plenty of room to put 2 motorcycles here!
This is the parking lot where I work, On more than one occasion, I’ve mentioned to the guy who owns this motorcycle if he would just park on one side or the other, 2 bikes could fit in one space. Parking is at a premium here and if the first rider is fortunate enough to get a spot close the to building, it sure would help out the next rider from having to park so far away. I call this Motorcycle Etiquette.
Just my opinion of course!
I took a motorcycle ride this morning and stopped here, Bergies Coffee Roast House. I’ve driven past this location several times and finally stopped in.
I’m glad I did. Located along Gilbert Rd with parking out back.
In front of the coffee house is this nice patio area with lots of plants and plenty of shaded seating. They even have misters around the area which is very nice here in Arizona. I sat outside next to one of the misters and didn’t want to leave.
And a bonus to us motorcycle riders. Motorcycle parking! It’s always nice to see these areas when I’m out on the motorcycle.
Here’s a photo of their business card for those that are interested and happen to be in the Gilbert, AZ area.
The Phoenix area Harley-Davidson dealers have put together the 1st Annual PhoenixBike Fest this year next to the Wildhorse Pass Hotel & Casino. Here’s a few photos I took today (April 5, 2014). Harley-Davidson’s trailer with the new 2014 motorcycles. This is main reason I went here today to take a Demo Ride on a new Tri-Glide. This is the bike I was able to ride, a blue Tri-Glide. After watching a short video, I got to ride it for about 10-15 minutes. It definitely rides different than a 2 wheel motorcycle. I like it. Phoenix BikeFest 2014. A lot of riders arrived through this large tent for everyone to see. There sure were a lot of people here today. And lots of motorcycles. And even more motorcycles! A perfect day in Arizona for a motorcycle ride.
